Walmart (WMT) said Tuesday it will expand employee healthcare benefits from 2027, including a new Zero Dollar prescription tier covering over 250 medications at no cost.
The list includes generic, branded and specialty drugs, along with some insulin products and inhalers, Walmart said.
The company will also cover Novo Nordisk's (NVO) Ozempic and Eli Lilly's (LLY) Mounjaro for eligible employees with type 2 diabetes, subject to prior approval, according to a Bloomberg report.
Additionally, the company said it will introduce a Rare Conditions Center of Excellence, offering associates and dependents no-cost specialist evaluations and treatment reviews for multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
Walmart added that it is also providing up to 12 weeks of paid leave to eligible workers with children admitted to a neonatal intensive care unit within the first 28 days after birth.
