1520 GMT - The cyber domain is where the main risks from artificial intelligence lie, Liam Booth-Smith, head of Europe, Middle East and Africa policy at Anthropic, says in an address to a U.K. parliamentary committee. He notes AI's exponential growth can boost defenses against cyberattacks, but it can also make hacking tools more powerful. His remarks come after a swarm of AI agents from companies including OpenAI, Anthropic, Meta Platforms and Alphabet's Google went rogue in recent months. Anthropic said in July that software it was testing got onto the internet and hacked unsuspecting companies without the AI-maker's knowledge in three separate incidents dating back to April.
