China Merchants Bank Appoints Li Yungui as Vice Chairman

On August 26, according to financial news, China Merchants Bank Co., Ltd. (600036.SH / 03968.HK) held its 18th meeting of the 13th Board of Directors, where the proposal to elect the Vice Chairman of the 13th Board was reviewed and approved. The meeting resolved to elect Mr. Li Yungui as the Vice Chairman of the bank's 13th Board of Directors.

Mr. Li's appointment as Vice Chairman of CM BANK is subject to approval from the National Financial Regulatory Administration. His term will commence on the date the bank receives the qualification approval from the regulatory body and will conclude upon the expiration of the 13th Board's term.

According to his public resume, Mr. Li Yungui was born in August 1969 and holds an MBA from the Guanghua School of Management at Peking University, as well as the title of Senior Accountant. He currently serves as the Chief Accountant of China COSCO Shipping Corporation Limited. Previously, he held several senior positions, including Financial Director of CNOOC Gas & Power Co., Ltd., Financial Director of CNOOC Gas & Power Group, Deputy General Manager and Financial Director of Shandong Haihua Group Co., Ltd., Deputy General Manager and Financial Director of CNOOC Energy Technology & Services Limited (a Shanghai-listed company), and General Manager of the Finance and Asset Department, General Manager of the Finance and Capital Department, General Manager of the Capital Department, and Deputy Chief Accountant of China National Offshore Oil Corporation.
