On the evening of August 26, a mudslide disaster on the Nepalese side resulted in casualties and missing persons at the Gyirong Port in Gyirong County, Shigatse, Tibet. In response to the disaster, the National Disaster Prevention, Mitigation and Relief Commission and the Ministry of Emergency Management activated a Level-II national emergency response, urgently dispatching relief supplies to support the evacuation, resettlement, and rescue efforts for affected residents.

Responding promptly to the crisis, Tencent Charity Foundation announced an initial allocation of 20 million yuan in emergency preparedness funds to support disaster-stricken areas including Gyirong. The foundation, in partnership with the Ai De Foundation, the Red Cross Society of China Foundation, and the China Siyuan Project Foundation, quickly launched a "Disaster Relief Hourly Delivery" initiative to procure essential supplies locally, including food, water, raincoats, rain boots, power banks, flashlights, and generators, for immediate transport to the frontlines.

The Tencent Charity Foundation stated it will continue to monitor the disaster situation closely and, based on evolving needs, collaborate with local organizations and enterprises to carry out ongoing relief operations in the affected regions.
