At 9 a.m. on August 26, the Shangzhou District hosted a send-off ceremony for the 2026 workforce dedicated to Byd Company Limited at the district's flexible employment market. More than 90 students from the Shangzhou Vocational Education Center gathered, ready to depart for the Shangluo BYD Industrial Company to begin a new chapter in their professional careers.

This initiative represents another practical measure by Shangzhou District to secure labor for key enterprises while boosting local employment and income. Zhang Qiang, director of the Shangzhou District Employment Service Center, stated that the human resources and social security department will continue to deliver comprehensive services, actively implement employment-first policies, and roll out an upgraded employment service program to secure stable jobs and higher earnings.

Zhang Qiang noted that BYD, a leading enterprise in China's new energy sector, offers substantial room for career growth, robust compensation packages, and a well-established skills training system, presenting outstanding opportunities for young professionals. To ensure students can start work with peace of mind, the human resources department has completed pre-employment coordination in three key areas. First, travel arrangements guarantee point-to-point transport from home to the factory gate. Second, rights protection measures include a tracking and liaison mechanism to safeguard students' legal interests. Third, ongoing employment follow-up will collect feedback from workers on-site and help resolve any practical issues, ensuring stable employment throughout.

During the ceremony, Yang Xiaoliang, Party Secretary of the Shangzhou Vocational Education Center, and Principal Wang Cheng both delivered encouraging remarks to the departing students. They urged the students to value this internship opportunity, complete the transition from student to professional, strictly follow workplace rules, remain eager to learn, refine their technical skills, demonstrate resilience and a strong sense of responsibility, and approach their work with gratitude. They encouraged students to transform the theoretical knowledge gained in school into practical, marketable expertise that will build a solid foundation for future employment and career advancement. The school also pledged continued follow-up support, serving as a steadfast pillar for the students.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the 90-plus students boarded buses in an orderly manner under staff guidance, heading together to the BYD facility for interviews and onboarding procedures.

To fully address BYD's workforce expansion needs, the Shangzhou District human resources department has implemented a multi-pronged recruitment strategy. Recruitment information is being displayed during peak hours on digital screens at Postal Savings Bank and Rural Credit Cooperative branches, as well as at Wanda Plaza both indoors and outdoors, broadening promotional coverage. Community outreach teams have been dispatched to towns, villages, and marketplaces to conduct face-to-face briefings and survey job seekers' intentions. Government-enterprise coordination meetings have established a tripartite platform linking the human resources department, recruitment agencies, and hiring companies, supplemented by livestreamed job fairs and door-to-door visits to expand recruitment channels. A dedicated BYD recruitment desk at the flexible employment market offers one-stop services including job introductions, registration, and interview scheduling. These coordinated measures have effectively alleviated BYD's temporary labor shortfall while creating a win-win situation for both the company and local residents seeking nearby employment.
